Hi to the Team at Crusader

Happy camping at the Sundowner Breakwall Caravan Park at Port Macquarie in December 2011.

We purchased a Crusader X Country Pop Up Caravan after many hours, days, weeks that turned into months of searching for the right caravan for us.  This exhausting process came to a head in February 2011 at the Adelaide Caravan and Camping Show where we ordered our X Country.

We took delivery of our caravan in July and decided to go on a couple of short trips to familiarise ourselves with our new Crusader. In December we took the plunge and travelled from our home in Broken Hill to Brisbane and were away for 4 weeks.  The X Country was an absolute pleasure to tow and live in - everything just seemed to work.  Can't wait till our next adventure!

Cheers from

1. Sunset free camping at Bollon QLD. What a great place to stay. They have even made a pathway to town.

2. Photo taken between Cunamulla and St George on our trip around QLD.

3. Stopping for a cold at Isoford.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Crusader for producing such a great van. We had just covered 31000k over the last 7 months with our 5.9m 2008 XL. The whole trip was without a hitch with the van just doing its job without a fuss. We had the pleasure of camping with a couple Louis and Sue at Stuart Wells SA last June. They had a brand new unit that just drew the attention of everyone there. They were stoked in the product and were already talking about buying another one with some extra changes to suit their needs.

The only mods to my van are the installation of a 3rd tank that I only use when going into areas without water for extended period. I have installed lights in the cupboards via a micro switch as you just cannot see into the back of the cupboards. My wife loves it.

I have had the van over the weigh bridge with all my gear on board and weighed 2260kg. We are very conscious of what we carry and was very surprised that we were right on the button. With 160lt of water on board you are not left with much to work with. It would be reasonable to say that the majority of vans that we have come across are grossly overweight and illegal. The 400kg limit is somewhat light to me.

The van is just great and although it has done some 50000k+ it still looks like new. I only use a marine polish made by 3M on the van and it just looks a treat. Nothing harsher than a marine environment. We have been over some the worst roads (within limits) and have no dust problems at all. I couldn’t say that about the other market sales leader brand I had.

I have been invited to write some travel articles for C&M on our travels so look out for the unit in the coming months.

Keep up the great work.

Kindest regards,

Denis & Christine

Hi, we picked up our x-country the week before Easter which we purchased from the dealer in Ballarat. After doing a couple of long week-end trips with the van, I can say it performed well. But we have just returned from a major trip to Outback Queensland and I can say it lived up to its reputation.

It went through river crossings, corrigations, dusty tracks without a single problems. The most surprising thing was each time we pulled into camping grounds or caravan parks, over they came (fellow travellers) to ask the questions, the things that impressed them the most was the ground clearance and how roomy the shower/toilet combo was, which oddly enough was the main reason why we purchased the X-country. " We Love It"

Hi Geoff, We've had a fantastic shake down trip, more in love with the van than ever, can't wait for the next weekend away!

My husband and i wanted to thank you for the comprehensive tour you gave us when we visited the Crusader factory on Wednesday. We were both very impressed and eagerly looking forward to getting it.

When i was saying that i had wanted a full pantry in the van, but due to mainly the sales guy where we getting the van through i knew it wasn't going to happen.

Thanks to you i got a telephone call yesterday to say that we will be getting my pantry. I am over the moon and it is all thanks to you, and as soon as we get out on the road i will send you a photo of me doing my next exciting things, maybe i will ride another Camel just so you can see. Because i am in the wheelchair doesn't mean my quality of life has gone.

Thank you again lovely lady for everything

Just wanted to send you some pictures of our new van, which we are thrilled to bits with.

Thank you for your hospitality when we were at the factory that day having our doors mirrored when it was pouring rain and you invited us in to sit down out of the wet.

We made it back to Queensland on the Hume Highway just getting through Tarcutta before they closed the road.

Wishing you a Happy New Year from us both

At last we have some pictures of our travels, they were taken up around Cairns and St Lawrence, had some wonderful times and our Manhattan was a much talked about van as everyone wanted to look inside at our own design.

Lots of people from Western Australia & Victoria travelling up north thought our van was really classy.

Cheers

Heather & Chris.

A big thank you to Crusader, especially Anna for your friendliness.

We really enjoyed being shown through the factory it was very interesting to see how the vans are made.

We came to Crusader for a few problems to be fixed under Warranty with our Inspiration. We could not have had a more friendly team and so efficient!

A special thank you to Daniel, Greg and Frank for being so helpful in the way they treated us and fixed our problems, you have a great team there. We came away from the factory being happy that we had purchased a Crusader Caravan.

Our Inspiration.. (Love the Black and White Greg).

Would recommend Crusader to everybody... Thank you once again Adele & Ray.

No worries,  happy campers with a Crusader.

Garry & Deb 21/07/11

My wife Deb & I purchased a cross country last year & picked it up this year in March. Although we have not yet had the opportunity to use it as much as we hoped, we have been very happy with the customer service both from the dealers in Traralgon & the Crusader crew out at Epping.

So far we have taken a trip to Portland & East Gippsland & on both trips have found the towing & handling easier that expected.
Some friends that are seasoned caravaners wanted to see what the van was like to tow. They could not believe the difference from there own van compared to ours. Hmmm maybe they will be calling on you when they want to upgrade?? They also complimented on the quality finish inside & out.

Also thanks to Tony in the warranty repairs department for such prompt & efficient service on a small issue being a scratch on the table from day of delivery. It was changed over with a complete new one without any hesitation whatsoever.

Looking forward to sending some pics in sooner rather than later.
Cheers Garry

Last month we drove from the Gold Coast to Melbourne to take delivery of our Crusader Inspiration (Chassis No. DC2642) through Caravan City Croydon.
We are extremely happy with our new van, now our third one, and wish to thank Tony Zakhour who has been very helpful and obliging in meeting our requests for a couple of replacements for faulty items which, after the phone call to him, were delivered the next day.

I would also like to mention Gary Maroney and his staff, Geoff, Rainor and Andrew, from Caravan City Croydon, and compliment them on their dealings with us.

Yours sincerely

Peter & Jan Barrett

As it is approaching 12 months since date of purchase of our Crusader Inspiration caravan,  I wish to place on record our complete satisfaction regarding the obviously high quality of workmanship as evidenced in the performance of the van.  We are currently travelling around Australia and have generally enjoyed a travel-free holiday.  Thank you for electing to choose quality appliances and fittings, the true value of which is readily attested to by several other Crusader owners that we have encountered in our travels.  Furthermore, it has given us much pleasure to be able to recommend your product to several would-be  caravan owners.

We wish you continued success with your manufacturing operations.

Yours sincerely,

Wal & Marg

Just wanted to let you know how impressed and happy we are with our purchase of our caravan - "Crusader - La Famiglia".

We are a young family and have thoroughly enjoyed our caravan. We purchased our caravan from Cameron Caravans in Adelaide and their service and expertise were outstanding. We were able to choose the colours that we wanted and the design that best suited us.

We looked around for over 12 months before making our decision and once we saw the "Crusader" at Cameron's instantly we knew this was what we wanted. One of the things that stood out above the rest that we had seen was the workmanship and attention to detail that was put into these caravans. We have had our caravan now for nearly 12 months and totally love it. We have had no problems with the caravan and in fact – still finding new things out that still impress us.

Even when we can't get away, we still have camp outs in the caravan in our backyard with our little girl. Being young and first time caravan owners in our late 30's we are very impressed. We do and would not hesitate in recommending the Crusader Caravan to anyone looking to purchase a caravan. And if you're in Adelaide, take the time and see Stuart at Cameron Caravans, I can assure you will be just as impressed as we were.

It's a big investment, and with Crusader you won't go wrong.

Heck & Di, Queensland

I would like to give some feedback on our new X Country van we purchased late july. The Van was ordered after the Brisbane Caravan show and received a month earlier than expected.

Just a quick update of our adventures over the past month. We made it to Birdsville and back - 3,500 klicks - and then to Fraser Island and back - another 1000 klicks.

The van tows easily (behind a Mazda BT 50) @ 100Ks and sits on the road well, even when the Road Trains come past. We didn't have any problems with our cupboard and fridge contents getting rearranged even on the roughest roads. It was 600Ks of dirt road from Windorah to Birdsville and back. The suspension worked like a dream, and I reckon I could leave a stubby on the table and it would still be there when I stop.

The comfort and liveability of this van rates very highly, and we would not hesitate to recommend this Van to anyone wishing to push it to the limit.
